What a week!

There has been a furry of activity here the past few days. We didn't make it to our goal of 34 weeks. Kayla Marie was delivered by c-section Saturday at 9:50 AM. She was only 28 weeks old. She is doing great. Her doctor said we couldn't ask for her to do any better. She weighs 2lbs 1 oz and is 14 inches long. She is beautiful of course! My bloodpressure and everything has stabalized nicely since the baby was born. I will be able to go home in a few days. Kayla is expected to stay for about 2 months.

Update

Nothing has changed much. It looks like they are going to try to keep me in the hospital until the baby is born.

Welcome to my blog

I want to thank everyone for their prayers for me and little Kayla Marie.
I went to the emergency room Saturday June 2nd with very swollen legs and a blood pressure of 198/113. I will be on bedrest until the baby is born. My blood pressure has come down but is still a bit high. Right now I am still in the hospital but at some point may get to go home. That is questionable. I had an ultrasound yesterday and they said the baby looks good. The doctor is trying to get me past 34 weeks before the baby comes. Right now I am at 27 1/2 weeks.
