Daily Recipe

Salisbury Steak with Gemelli
2 eggs
3/4 cup bread crumbs
1 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
½ tsp pepper
1 tsp minced garlic
1 1/2 lb ground beef
4 T flour
2 cup chicken broth
2 T ketchup
1 tsp worchestershire sauce
mushrooms (If I use them I serve them seperate since only 2 of us like them)
Hot cooked gemelli or spiral pasta
In a large bowl, combine the egg, bread crumbs, Italian seasoning, pepper and garlic. Mix in beef and shape into patties. Cook patties in 1T oil. Remove and keep warm

Stir in flour into drippings from patties until blended. Gradually stir in the broth, ketchup, and worchestershire sauce. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 min. or until thickened.
Return patties to the skillet. Simmer until heated through. Serve over gemelli or other spiral pasta.

This feeds our big family pretty good and it is fairly cheap. I usually make extra sauce, just use butter instead of the drippings. This is not real healthy but it tastes good :)
