I know I have been all over the place with these devotions. I did intend on doing an ongoing study but I can hardly get a sentance out without changing the subject when I talk (really frustrating to my husband) and I guess this is going to go the same way. I am going to jump to Proverbs today.
Proverbs 16:24 Pleasant words are as and honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.
I guess this verse stuck out to me today because I was spoke with someone a few days ago about the struggle she has with yelling at her children. We need to be careful when dealing with our children. Be pleasant to your family (and others as well). I want my children to have sweet, healthy spirits so I need to have a sweet spirit to them. The Lord challenged me with this today so I thought I would pass it on :)
I also need to have a sweet spirit toward my husband. It is feeding the marriage healthy food!
I have not been married as long as some of you (we are going on 12 years) but I have learned that cross words get me nowhere. Even if my arguement has merit, I get a lot further if I approach the issue sweetly...though this is difficult sometimes I must say.
